News & Announcements

"Land of Erin" at Dusty Strings Open House, 12/10/16

Hey folks! I'm very happy to announce that I'll be performing with the band "Land of Erin" at Dusty Strings' 31st Holiday Open House on December 10th! (Open House is one of my favorite days of the year...free live music all day long, fresh-baked cookies and hot cider!) Land of Erin features Susan McLain on harp, flute and whistle, Aki Namioka on flute/whistle, Bruce McCaskey on concertina and yours truly on bodhran, harp and vocals. We'll be performing at 11am, so come on down and join us!

Sheet music! At (looooooooong) last!

Hi folks! A few months ago I made myself a promise: that I would try to finish my arrangement project in time for Harp Seattle (since I'm teaching a "Sing With Your Harp" workshop and one of the arrangements is my harp/vocal setting of "Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind"). Apparently having a terrifying deadline is the only way to make Molly get anything done. Ahem.

You'll find a new subpage under "Album" called "Sheet Music" where you can purchase any of the three pieces individually, or a "Selections" book that contains all three. (These are PDF downloads, not physical copies.)

For reference, here is a YouTube playlist of the three songs. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy them, and I'd love to have your feedback!

Two upcoming performances: Irish Centenary and Folklife!

Hi folks! As usual I've been keeping a low profile, but here I am with two exciting announcements about upcoming performances.

First: I'm honored to be accompanying lovely Irish soprano Sarah Dolan for several songs at Antioch University's Seattle Irish Centenary (celebrating the 100th anniversary of the historic Dublin Easter Rising). We'll be performing at the Saturday evening reception. To the best of my knowledge, admission is free but advance reservations are required.

Second: I've got a spot at this year's Northwest Folklife Festival! I'll be performing a half-hour set at 11am on Sunday, May 29th on the Trad Stage at Seattle Center. I'd love to see you there!
